The safety of students is our primary concern. As you come and go from school, please be mindful of students walking. We have noticed many cars speeding off from the curb and not watching for children. If you are walking with your child, please use the crosswalks and set a good example. Be patient and courteous. As always, if you would like to volunteer to help us monitor traffic before or after school, we welcome your participation.

Dear Families, For the safety of our children, our school campus will remain closed to all adults, at all times. Adults who have completed all EUSD volunteer guidelines and possess an approved Central Volunteer badge, or who have signed in at the front office are the only individuals allowed on campus. The only exception is for families of TK, K, and First grade students who are picking up students at the end of the school day. Those families must also exit with their children by way of the kindergarten gate immediately after picking up their child. To get cleared as a volunteer, log into EUSD.org and go to PARENTS and FAMILIES. From there, click on VOLUNTEERING AT EUSD and complete the appropriate form. Contact Gladys Zavala, Family Liaison once you have completed the process and she will provide your badge. Thank you for your cooperation.

Central families,
If you would like some FREE non-perishable food, please stop by the Community Room off Broadway, near the Kinder gate.
When: Every Friday of the month, from 2:00-2:50pm.
For more information please contact: Gladys Zavala, Family Liaison at 760-432-2431.

One of the most helpful things that can be done by parents and teachers is to meet
from time to time for the purpose of discussing the progress of your child. Conferences with parents will take place on Thursday, October 5 and Friday, October 6. These are non-school days for students. Our experience has shown that Parent-Teacher conferences are most beneficial when both parents and the teacher bring to the conference information that will support the child in having a successful school year. Paperwork will be sent home next week so you can sign up for a convenient time. Please complete the paperwork and return it to school promptly. Thank you.

Parents/Guardians are invited to come join us!
We value your feedback, comments, and your participation. Coffee with the principal is the time parents have to hear about school programs, gain instructional data knowledge, ask questions & share any concerns pertaining to our school. This school year there will be 3 sessions, each session is designed to converse directly with the principal, Crystal Underhill.
It’s also a great opportunity to meet other parents and become involved in your child’s education.
When:

January 19, 2024
April 26, 2024
In Room 38 at 8:30am
