Hello Dragon Families,
Welcome to February! As we have done in the past February brings the first state testing for our English Language Learners called the ELPAC. This Tuesday and Wednesday our Dragons will show their progress in becoming English proficient. All other students will do different activities and lessons created by their grade level content teachers.
If your child calls you and says they don’t feel well please ask your child to go to the nurse and be evaluated. If your child has symptoms the nurse will call you to arrange the pick up of your child. This will save you and your child time.
Does your child need help with homework or assignments? We are offering free help afterschool on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays in the library from 2:50 - 3:50. Del Dios staff will be on hand to help. This starts tomorrow.
There has been a rise in students arriving late to class. We are continuing our tardy sweeps and those arriving late to class will have detention. But we will also reward those who arrive on time with Dragon Dollars. Please have a chat with your child about the importance of being punctual.
Kona Ice is Tuesday. This is a great treat for all and 20% of all sales comes back to our PTA.
When dropping off or picking up your child in the solar parking lot, please use the outside lanes to drop off or pick up your child and not go down the middle of the parking lot. Dropping your child off in the middle makes them walk through the parking lot where cars might hit them. The safest place for them is the curb with immediate access to the sidewalk.

¡Bienvenido a febrero! Como lo hemos hecho en febrero pasado, trae la primera prueba estatal para nuestros estudiantes del idioma inglés llamada ELPAC. Este martes y miércoles, nuestros dragones mostrarán su progreso para volverse competentes en inglés. Todos los demás estudiantes realizarán diferentes actividades y lecciones creadas por sus maestros de contenido de nivel de grado.
Si su hijo lo llama y dice que no se siente bien, pídale que vaya a la enfermera para que lo evalúe. Si su hijo tiene síntomas, la enfermera lo llamará para coordinar la recogida de su hijo. Esto le ahorrará tiempo a usted y a su hijo.
¿Su hijo necesita ayuda con la tarea o tareas? Ofrecemos ayuda gratuita después de la escuela los lunes, martes y miércoles en la biblioteca de 2:50 a 3:50. El personal de Del Dios estará disponible para ayudar. Esto empieza mañana.
Ha habido un aumento en los estudiantes que llegan tarde a clase. Continuamos con nuestras redadas de tardanzas y aquellos que lleguen tarde a clase tendrán detención. Pero también premiaremos a los que lleguen a tiempo con Dragon Dollars. Por favor, hable con su hijo sobre la importancia de ser puntual.
Kona Ice es el martes. Este es un gran regalo para todos y el 20% de todas las ventas regresa a nuestra PTA.
Cuando deje o recoja a su hijo en el estacionamiento solar, use los carriles exteriores para dejar o recoger a su hijo y no vaya por el medio del estacionamiento. Dejar a su hijo en el medio lo hace caminar por el estacionamiento donde los autos podrían atropellarlo. El lugar más seguro para ellos es la acera con acceso inmediato a la acera.
