Hello Dragon Families…
Tomorrow we will have the fun part of our PTA membership drive. Each student who had a family member join the PTA will have one water balloon to throw at one of seven staff members. The other fun part is to announce the winners of the three $25 gift cards in our opportunity drawing. The three winners are the parents of Leslie ZG, Sophia R. and Bao N. I will be in contact with you this week to discuss your gift card.
Our next PTA restaurant fundraiser is at Board and Brew this Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to not heat up the house and let Board and Brew do the cooking.
We will be having a Book Fair from October 3-7. Students will visit with their language arts class and will also be able to buy books and other fun items before and after school. Books are typically around $10-15, but there are also books that are $5 and under. If you do not want to send your student to school with cash, you can set up a virtual wallet by going to https://www.scholastic.com/bf/deldiosdragons and clicking on "Set up eWallet"
The book fair will also be open during parent conferences…if you have your conference on campus, stop by the MPR and visit the Book Fair!
Thursday we will practice our Secure Campus and Lock Down drills. You will receive notification that Del Dios is on Lock Down or Secured but this is only a drill. It will happen shortly after school begins at 8:00 AM.
This Thursday is an exciting day for us in terms of the new building. Our walls are going to be lifted from the ground and placed carefully together. We hope to have a picture to post shortly after that happens.
And finally, this Friday is our next Pastries with the Principal at 8:00 in the library. We will discuss the difference between Secure Campus and Lock Down alerts and what you should and should not do. We hope to see you there!

Mañana tendremos la parte divertida de nuestra campaña de membresía de la PTA. Cada estudiante que tenía un miembro de la familia que se unió a la PTA tendrá un globo de agua para tirarle a uno de los siete miembros del personal. La otra parte divertida es anunciar los ganadores de las tres tarjetas de regalo de $25 en nuestro sorteo de oportunidad. Los tres ganadores son los padres de Leslie ZG, Sophia R. y Bao N. Este jueves es un día emocionante para nosotros en cuanto al nuevo edificio. Nuestros muros van a ser levantados del suelo y colocados cuidadosamente juntos. Esperamos tener una imagen para publicar poco después de que eso suceda.
Y finalmente, este viernes es nuestro próximo Pasteles con el Director a las 8:00 en la biblioteca. Discutiremos la diferencia entre las alertas de Campus seguro y Bloqueo y lo que debe y no debe hacer. ¡Esperamos verte ahí!
