Good evening Del Dios Families, this is your principal, Lisa Pitard, with your weekly announcements.
Tomorrow Del Dios will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. Please enjoy this day with your families and friends and remember those that lost their lives fighting for our country. School will resume on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
It is almost the end of the school year! This means that students need to return all library books by June 2nd. Students have received a slip of paper with all of the books that they need to return to the library. If they did not get a piece of paper, then they do not have books checked out. If they lost the paper or have questions, please have your students go to the library. If a student forgets to return a book or it is lost, please have them go to the library and talk with the librarian.
To our eighth grade students, promotion is coming and you must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher to participate. June 7th is the last day to meet this requirement. We will notify families if they are not participating. We are here to help so please contact a counselor and remember that the library is open after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to help students complete their assignments.
Our next ELAC meeting will be on Tuesday, May 31, at 8:30 AM on Zoom. Please join us to learn about how we help our English language learners.
On Friday, three officers came to campus to assess our campus for safety. Many students saw them and wondered why they were here. EPD is doing this at all schools to ensure we have the safest possible schools and to fix any easy entry points. We thank EPD for taking this proactive action.
Help is available this week on Tuesday and Wednesday in the library for one hour after school. They might not have a lot of homework but we are here to help them catch up on missing assignments. Reward Day and Promotion are tied to their GPAs.

Mañana Del Dios estará cerrado en observancia del Día de los Caídos. Disfruten este día con sus familias y amigos y recuerden a aquellos que perdieron la vida luchando por nuestro país. La escuela se reanudará el martes 31 de mayo de 2022.
¡Es casi el final del año escolar! Esto significa que los estudiantes deben devolver todos los libros de la biblioteca antes del 2 de junio. Los estudiantes han recibido una hoja de papel con todos los libros que necesitan devolver a la biblioteca. Si no recibieron una hoja de papel, entonces no tienen libros prestados. Si perdieron el papel o tienen preguntas, por favor pida a sus estudiantes que vayan a la biblioteca. Si un estudiante olvida devolver un libro o lo pierde, pídale que vaya a la biblioteca y hable con el bibliotecario.
A nuestros alumnos de octavo grado, se acerca la promoción y deben tener un GPA de 2.0 o superior para participar. El 7 de junio es el último día para cumplir con este requisito. Notificaremos a las familias si no están participando. Estamos aquí para ayudarlo, así que comuníquese con un consejero y recuerde que la biblioteca está abierta después de la escuela los lunes, martes y miércoles para ayudar a los estudiantes a completar sus tareas.
