Happy Sunday…
This week we will have the opportunity to hear all Escondido Middle School band students perform at the California Center for the Arts Escondido on Tuesday, April 23 at 6:00. If you would like to attend you must reserve free seats online. Visit their website for free tickets.
Wednesday is our PTA Association meeting at 7:00 PM on Zoom. This meeting is important because we will elect next year’s board members. Please join us so we a quorum for voting or a minimum number of members attending.
Trimester 3 progress reports will be mailed out this Friday. Your child only has a few more weeks left in this school year and grades are important to participate in our end of the trimester activities.
Speaking of activities, our 8th grade students will have the opportunity to attend the Harbor Cruise on May 30. This event is a highlight for your middle school years. Tickets will be available later this week for purchase. $40 will get you to and from the Harbor Cruise, pizza, garlic bread, dessert and drinks. To participate you must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater, no suspensions or all day ALC placement, and fewer than 10 tardies to class. You must meet this requirement by May 17 to participate. Tickets will go fast so be ready when we start selling. Tickets will be refunded if you do not meet the requirements.
Homework helpers are available every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in the library for one hour. Staff members are there to help you achieve your grade goals. Help will be available through May 15th.
Staff appreciation is coming the week of May 13th. If you would like to help please contact Maria Mendoza. We are looking for people to help set up each day, decorate, and help clean up. We are also looking for monetary donations to help purchase supplies to spoil our Dragon Staff. If you would like to donate please drop off your donations in the office.
Tomorrow a crew will be on campus filming different classrooms and activities to create a video of our school. If your child is not released for media they will not be filmed. It would be great if our students wore their spirit shirts…whether it is a house shirt, a team shirt, or any Del Dios shirt would be appreciated.

Esta semana tendremos la oportunidad de escuchar a todos los estudiantes de la banda de Escondido Middle School actuar en el Centro para las Artes de California en Escondido el martes 23 de abril a las 6:00. Si desea asistir debe reservar asientos gratuitos en línea. Visite su sitio web para obtener entradas gratuitas.
El miércoles es nuestra reunión de la Asociación de PTA a las 7:00 p. m. por Zoom. Esta reunión es importante porque elegiremos a los miembros de la junta directiva del próximo año. Únase a nosotros para tener quórum para votar o un número mínimo de miembros que asistan.
Los informes de progreso del tercer trimestre se enviarán por correo este viernes. A su hijo solo le quedan unas pocas semanas más en este año escolar y las calificaciones son importantes para participar en nuestras actividades de fin de trimestre.
Hablando de actividades, nuestros estudiantes de octavo grado tendrán la oportunidad de asistir al crucero por el puerto el 30 de mayo. Este evento es un momento destacado para sus años de escuela intermedia. Los boletos estarán disponibles para su compra a finales de esta semana. $40 te llevarán hacia y desde el crucero por el puerto, pizza, pan de ajo, postre y bebidas. Para participar debe tener un GPA de 2.5 o más, sin suspensiones ni colocación en ALC durante todo el día y menos de 10 llegadas tarde a clase. Debes cumplir con este requisito antes del 17 de mayo para participar. Las entradas se agotarán rápido, así que prepárate cuando empecemos a vender. Los boletos serán reembolsados si no cumples con los requisitos.
Hay ayudantes con las tareas disponibles todos los lunes, martes y miércoles en la biblioteca durante una hora. Los miembros del personal están ahí para ayudarle a alcanzar sus objetivos de calificaciones. La ayuda estará disponible hasta el 15 de mayo.
La apreciación del personal llegará la semana del 13 de mayo. Si desea ayudar por favor contacte a María Mendoza. Buscamos personas que ayuden a preparar cada día, decorar y ayudar a limpiar. También estamos buscando donaciones monetarias para ayudar a comprar suministros para mimar a nuestro Bastón Dragón. Si desea donar, deje sus donaciones en la oficina.
Mañana un equipo estará en el campus filmando diferentes aulas y actividades para crear un video de nuestra escuela. Si su hijo no está disponible para los medios, no será filmado. Sería fantástico si nuestros estudiantes usaran sus camisetas de espíritu... ya sea una camiseta de la casa, una camiseta del equipo o cualquier camiseta de Del Dios, sería apreciada.
