Beautiful Spaces Crew was busy in our tiny forest this week. Students poured concrete and created plant markers that identify native species. #servicelearning #wearecrew

Ceramic family night brought record number of participants. They all learned the basics about working with clay. After firing, they will return to learn about glazing. #familyengagement #wearecrew

On Wednesday, W.H.O. Crew created a sandwich making line to help those in need. The cranked out 80 meals that were donated to Interfaith. It feels good to do good. #servicelearning #wearecrew

Our lost and found is bursting with our students' lost belongings! Please check this week and help them find their way home. All items left behind will be donated over the fall break.

Beautiful Space Crew needs your help! They are preparing to create an up-cycled bottle cap mural. It will likely feature the earth and trees, so they are seeing more brown, blue, and green bottle caps. Using waste to create art helps build awareness about plastics in our environment. It also builds inspiration to help others reduce, reuse, then recycle. #WeareCrew

Zander Chan enjoys soccer, video games, and the epic adventures of One Piece. Beyond the virtual battles and on-field victories, on of the most fulfilling chapters of his life was his tie as a past of the leadership Crew at Conway Academy, known as Ambassadors. As an Ambassador, he had the privilege of welcoming newcomers to the school, sharing its spirit, and leading informational tours. Beyond the school gates, he seized opportunities to speak at notable events hosted by EUSD, amplifying the school's voice in the community. Along the way, he has been honored with awards for his athleticism, dedication as an Active citizen, and academic achievements as a Scholar at Conway. Excited for the next chapter of adventure, both on and off the field.

Royce Escobar, a student at Conway Academy of Expeditionary Learning, has been honored with numerous academic and citizenship awards, including the EPIC Scholar Award and the YMCA Outstanding Attitude Award. As an Ambassador Crew Leader, she developed her public speaking skills by giving tours and advocating for improved wast management systems in schools. Outside of academics, she enjoys making music, riding bikes, swimming, camping, and making other laugh with her jokes and pranks.
