It's that time of year again, Bernardo's Annual Book Drive! Thanks to our amazing school community, last year we were able to collect over 1,000 books that were distributed to other schools within EUSD! This year we are collecting books not only for elementary, but middle school & high school as well. So start looking through your home library and feel free to bring us your like new/gently used books. We have a collection box in the front office and will continue to collect books through the book fair in March. Thank you for supporting our community!
Our 3rd graders are excited to facilitate a community service project to collect items to support babies in need by an amazing organization called "Gently Hugged." We have placed a couple of collection boxes at our front office for your convenience. Last day to donate is Friday, January 31st. Blanket Drive: The winter months pose additional challenges for our students without a stable nighttime residence. Blanket Drive helps support students in Escondido who are unhoused, are in the foster care system, or who are military connected. Blankets, umbrellas, waterproof boots or high-top shoes, jackets w/hoods, or a gift card to a shoe store would provide much-needed resources for students connected to the Project Success Resource Center. Items can be dropped off at the Divine Fog Realty office no later than Dec. 12th. Items will continue to be collected throught Feb. 27, 2025.

Hello there, have you seen our beautiful Angel Tree in the school's front office yet?! Our annual Angel Tree Program began on Monday, Nov. 18th. This Thursday, October 17, we invite our students to participate in the "Caps for the Cure" event in honor of all children who have experienced cancer, including Joshua Whitten, an amazing former Bernardo student. We are asking each student to wear a hat to school and for each family to consider donating $1 (dollar bills are preferred over coins) towards this organization that supports work in finding a cure for childhood cancers.
