Camp Cuyamaca - 6th Grade Camp: April 6 - April 10.
EUSD is excited to offer a 5-day/4-night sixth grade camp!
Space is limited and participation will be lottery-based.
During Spring Break 2026, sixth graders will have the chance to explore Cuyamaca Outdoor School in the Cleveland National Forest. The program incorporates trail experiences and citizen scientist projects to create hands-on learning that is meaningful,memorable, and fun. For many students, the
weeklong, overnight experience transforms how they feel about science and themselves as learners.

8th Grade Overnight Camp Experience at Sea Camp San Diego 2026:
Dates: Spring Break, April 6 - April 10, 2026.
4-night/5-day overnight camp experience at no cost to families!
EUSD is offering an overnight camp experience at Mission Bay with SEACAMP San Diego for 8th grade students during spring break. This 4 night/5-day camp experience takes place at SEACAMP San Diego, a marine science camp that combines hands-on labs and workshops with interactive, highly physical field activities such as snorkeling, a boat trip, kayaking, and boogie boarding.

What is ELAC?
The English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC) provides an opportunity
for parents to voice their interests in the school system. By working directly
with the principal, teachers, and staff, our members participate in
establishing priorities, planning the educational program, defining goals,
and evaluating the academic effectiveness of the school. Members also
facilitate communication among the school, parents, and the community.

Red Ribbon week is a national campaign that encourages students to live drug-free and make healthy, safe choices. It's a time to show pride in being drug-free and to spread awareness about the importance of staying away from drugs and alcohol.
Week of October 27-31:
– Monday: Twin Day - Students dress alike with a friend.
– Tuesday: Anything But A Backpack - Carry your things in anything other than a backpack-like a bucket, basket, or pillowcase. It's a fun, creative way to show school spirit and think outside the box.
– Wednesday: Grade Wars - 6th grade wear green, 7th grade wear white, 8th grade wear black.
– Thursday: Red Day - Wear red to show support for being drug-free.
- Friday: Say Boo To Drugs - Wear your Halloween costume.*
*All costumes must follow our dress code guidelines. Costumes CANNOT include any blood, masks, or weapons.

Dragon Spotlight:
The XTrack team recently took nearly 180 kids to a Padres game as an incentive for maintaining good grades and attendance. It was a huge success, with many students sharing that this was the first Padres game they had ever attended! Way to go!
