Lisa Pitard grew up in La Crescenta, a suburb in Los Angeles. She moved to Escondido in 1997 where she taught at Lincoln Elementary for six years. During that time, she pursued an administrative credential and Masters Degree in Education from National University. She has been an assistant principal at both the elementary and at four of the middle schools. In 2017 she was appointed principal at Rose Elementary.

Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and anything Star Wars.
